Over the years in the world of classical music and more particularly the double bass.
Olivier TALPAERT Contrabassist Soloist has acquired expertise through contact with great soloists, violinists, pianists and other internationally renowned artists.
Soloist and solo double bass of the Orchester de Picardie, Olivier Talpaert is involved in artistic projects.
In particular within the Orchester de Picardie, which generated strong artistic encounters and synergies with conductors.
Such as Louis Langrée, Edmon Colomer, Arie Van Beek, as well as talented soloists such as violinist Benjamin Ziervogel (Supersolist violin of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra), with whom he plays the great Duo concertant by Giovanni Bootsini.
Accomplished artist
Olivier TALPAERT Contrabassist Soloist is also committed to a mission of transmitting knowledge and has developed a specialized and demanding pedagogy, nourished by mirror exchanges with students from various backgrounds.
An experience of more than 30 years in musical education at the service of double bassist students, most of whom have the desire and the will to get into the professional world.
It was at the age of 13 that Olivier Talpaert performed for his first solo concert, accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France.
A real passion for the stage animates him and he has never ceased to perform regularly as a soloist with different formations.
This approach led him to record in May 2021 the creation of Jules Matton’s double bass concerto, with the Orchester de Picardie.
As well as the elegy of Fauré at the Musée de Picardie, always accompanied by the same training.
In parallel with his activity as a solo double bass, he participates in twinning projects of orchestras in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, England, China and plays alongside orchestral musicians of various nationalities …
Olivier Talpaert has also been developing awareness actions for several years, playing in schools and hospitals, meeting audiences far from culture, to share his passion and his love for the double bass.
It is to broaden his outreach activities for Music in general, and the Double Bass in particular, that Olivier Talpaert has the idea of creating this platform in 2021, giving substance to this momentum.
